For the last couple years when people recommend JRPGs on the PS3 I have always mentioned Resonance of Fate as one of the top choices, specifically for fans of the older JRPG's that tend to hate anything new (FFXIII, WKC, etc.)
The music, graphics (character models and towns specifically), setting, and battle mechanics are amazing.
I never beat Neverland after completing the main game so I'm looking forward to jumping back in again.
I just thought it was super original and refreshing to have an entire JRPG battle mechanic focus on purely guns. After the hundreds and thousands of JRPGs with giant swords it was a lot of fun customizing them to ridiculous output levels.
It's not the best because of the lack of a dense story and repetitive gameplay but it is a must play if you love JRPGs.
