Can anyone help me?

#1keybladesrusPosted 11/14/2012 11:50:32 AM
In my English Comp I class, I had to write an essay arguing my opinion about on-disc DLC. But for my next essay, I have to basically redo the first, but with research to support my argument. There lies the problem. I don't know where to find any credible resources to use, and Google's results were useless as usual.

Can someone help me find some good resources to use?

You should have chosen a better topic.

I know... The first one was just opinion. I didn't know that I'd later have to back it up with research!

I'm asking if anyone here knows where I can FIND a good source. Google isn't cutting it.

why don't you do a User poll and gather data from how users feel and think about it, to support your argument?

I would say try to punch in some more terms to help get you pointing towards some pertinent info. Try stuff like "EA support day-one DLC" and "new game sales DLC" and such like that. You're still going to have to sift through those articles to pull the relevant data out of them, but... that would have been avoided if you picked a different topic to argue.

Still, hindsight's 20-20 and all that.

That's a good idea! I'll try that.

Maybe instead of On Disc DLC, search Disc locked content? I found a few pages, but I don't really know what you're looking for.

There's different websites that report that Capcom has promised (and then broken their promise about) Disc locked content off their discs...though whether this means they removed large portions of finished content for later download doesn't really seem clear, but at the very least, the articles seem to imply that Capcom realizes that on disc DLC is disliked by the consumer (despite still using it).

Some examples, though I don't know if it qualifies as "reliable"
