Releasing this game wouldn't make any sense. Maybe if it came out before 2005.

Yeah because it isn't like the game is GOOD or anything.

Can you people not understand?
FINAL FANTASY TYPE-0 is the #1 game in budget of all time for Handheld consoles.
It is the #1 Handheld game in technical qualities of all time too.
It has huge potential. It got in SONY's achievement sales record list, while being released only in japan.
It has a script of FINAL FANTASY XII's size. Only FINAL FANTASY XI has a bigger script.
It has the most Voiced Lines of all time for Handheld games.
It had a 5 years development time (2 of it was the scrapped mobile version though). It was sooooo ambitious.
It has gained a huge fan following. It is wanted. It is hyped. It is critically acclaimed.

Square MUST profit alot from this game. Releasing it on PSP or VITA now, ensures them not losing money, but doesn't guarantee the massive sales it has the potential to do.
Square is a company, not a charity.
Their goal isn't to create amazing games without huge profit.
Their goal isn't to create amazing games with little profit.
Their goal is to make huge profits, on amazing games. Sometimes they don't nail the "amazing" part, but they can't afford to not nail the "profit" part.

FINAL FANTASY TYPE-0, if it was released on west now, it would forever set its fate.
Square must be waiting for an opportunity. For VITA to catch on, for a PS3 HD release, I don't know.

What I do know is that right now Square is fully invested in FINAL FANTASY XIV : ARR release.

Please have a broader mind. And patience.

FINAL FANTASY TYPE-0 was hugely ambitious.
A 100.000 - 200.000 PSN sales between both PSP and VITA on west, is not acceptable for its status.
FINAL FANTASY TYPE-0 needs at least 500.000 in full sales in the west to match its quality.

Unlucky market decline in the western Regions at consoles FINAL FANTASY TYPE-0 was to be set for was unaccounted.
Bad timing.

The quality is irrelevant. Releasing it makes no sense to the S-E that exists this gen.

I'm guessing SE is pissed at the amount of pirating that happened to their recent PSP games. A couple months back someone posted the sales for the Dissidia games and compared it to the known illegal pirated downloads. SE lost out on a lot of possible sales due to the piracy. Maybe this is their way of saying "F*** you too!" Lol

If someone can dig up the link for the sales comparison that would interesting.

Well there is that fact.

I mean, SE doesn't make smart moves anymore. That is just made blatantly apparent every time they act.

SE desperately needs someone at the top with a sense of direction that can set teams to deadlines.

Yep. It's more likely to appear on XBL as part of the ongoing kamikaze contract
