RPGs, preferably Japanese but not much of the ridiculous fanservice type outside the Atelier series.

I lean on the old-school side and prefer anything turn-based battle systems, hence Dragon Quest series being my favorite games of all time.

Close runner-ups would be platformers like R&C and some Zelda-ish stuff like Darksiders.
