I honestly think when the ps4 rolls out its time to cut the ps2 officially.
Unless the ps4 has no BC whatsoever.
Then I will be perfectly content with Sony suffering next gen. Because they will deserve it.
You just cant pay $400 plus for something and have no BC at all. That's just ridiculous.
The ps3's at least have PS1 disc BC that is value, however minute it may seem. --- "if gears can be done on the 360, than any game can be done on the 360" (Wisdom_Cube) "I am the content doesn't inst rest me yet"(theroc500)
I do expect the PS4 to be able to play PS1 and PS2 games with software emulation. Not expecting PS3 BC though because they probably won't be using the Cell Processor thing again. --- Do not go here : http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/233-star-trek?action=addfav
I hope so. My PS2 broke a few years ago and lately i've been wanting to replay some old PS2 games so bad and i wan to buy one just so i can play them. --- Daniel Bryan is my future husband! http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_md30giwGGU1rosb88o1_500.gif
I doubt it. I believe that Sony learned that selling a system for less money is more important than backwards compatibility this generation. I believe that there are many more people who buy games don't revisit previous generations once they move on than there are people who want to play games from 5 or 6 years ago.
