Any depressing games for PS3 or PS1?

I really wanted to get Rule of Rose but there is no PAL version :(

So any really depressing games on PS3 or PS1 that i should try?
edit - PS2 suggestions are welcome also. I mainly said PS1 because PS3 can play PS1 games.

rule of rose isnt depressing, just really boring and has so many locked doors that it just becomes annoyin to play. and i cant think of one game. maybe max payne 3? probably not though

Is it really? the only suikoden game i played was tactics and it had a darker tone (from what i remember)

Heavy Rain can get pretty depressing, if you're into that sort of "game".

there are some themes that makes the player feel depressed, you should also play it regardless because the game is just that good (better than chrono trigger)

Silent Hill games easily. Which is one of the main reasons I stopped playing them. Heavy Rain is a bit depressing, but that game is just too damn good not to play.
