The ending to Mother 3 was the only game that brought tears to my eyes.

Looking back at the game, it was pretty frigging depressing.

Nier is seriously... even the sidequests make you depressed.

You may cry with MGS3, but it's not depressing at all

Catherine can be very depressing if you really get into the story

Dishonored is pretty depressing. The story goes from bad to worse to downright atrocious (3 difference endings depending on how much depression you want)

For anyone wanting Rule of Rose for PAL, just because it was banned in Britain, it doesn't mean it was banned in other PAL countries. My copy is the Sanish version but the entire game is in English.

Can't believe no ones mentioned Persona 3. I was pretty young when I played it, and I had to stop playing it for a while at times. The themes affected me pretty bad. It made me have my first existential crisis. :P
