Hey Square Enix, how about dat Final Fantasy X HD?

#1FiendingHardPosted 11/20/2012 2:43:00 AM
I recently found my PS2 copy of FFX which I never did beat back in the day (30ish hours in). Decided to pop it into my PS2 phat and lo and behold, the lens seems to have crapped out.

I tried to emulate it but my laptop's CPU isn't good enough to get a stable framerate. That leaves the HD remake, any word on it's release date or if that's even coming out?

SquareEnix just like to announce games. They don't really bother finishing them. Don't expect it any time soon.

No news at all. Square- Enix is happy getting some of their older fans mad by not releasing the products long time fans want. They are currently creating the FF13 universe aka cheap cash ins after the original 13. Toriyama needs to be fired now. I stopped caring about the company years ago for the most part anyway.

Apparently they haven't even started development with it yet.

what kind of laptop do you have? FFX is the least demanding game on pcsx2 so there is no way you would get slow framerate unless your laptop is from 1990

I get around 40fps but it frequently dips into the 10-15 range. Laptop has a Core 2 Duo 2.2ghz CPU and Nvidia GeForce 220M GPU.

Well last i heard i know for a fact it wasn't in development. Was listening to an IGN podcast a few months ago and they were told (Ryan Clements) that the HD FFX wasn't even in development, as a matter of fact it hadn't even begun......

Now, since then (the 2-3 months) they may of but it's going to be awhile >__> unless they buckle down and hurry it up.

They haven't actually formely stated that, but yeah from what they said they just announced Final Fantasy X HD but have yet to actively start up working on it.

Well at Gamestop you can get a rubber ducky, a water gun, or a pirate sleeve Wii bundle.

core 2 duo is more than good enough to play at 80-100FPS.which pcsx2 rev. are you using
plus setting i think that maybe the problem
anyway go to there website and get pcsx2 1.0.0. is much faster and newer than the one you might be using
