Anyone else get this today? Beautiful looking shmup. Nice and challenging and
co-developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and Digital Reality

I now this isnt the most popular genre but I do know it has a strong cult following. Im surprised there isnt anyone talking about it considering its devs and the lack of shmups on ps3 recently.

Def worth the 10 dollar price and theres also a demo in the store.

Galaga, Soldner X and games like Life force and Gradius. Good games... Not garbage.

you forgot R type and Einhander! and a million others, to many to list lol

Shmup= shoot em up or "bullet hell" games. Usually but not always side scrolling games where you control a ship or craft and have tons of enemies and hundreds of projectiles flying at you. The genre is known for its extreme diff

Bought it on PC for $6.75, amazing artstyle and really fun to play with lots of cool bosses. A must buy for fans of 2d shmups.

I bought Sine Mora on 360 when it was first released back in March. It's a beautiful and fun shmup. But Akai Katana by Cave is the best shmup of this year, IMO. It's good to see PS3 is getting some shmups which they are severely lacking this gen. So far, 360 have the largest selection of shmups for this gen, and its one of my favorite type of game. Although, Einhander for PS1 by Squaresoft is my favorite shmups of all time.

nice post and agree about Einhander though I put a ridiculous amount of time into R type final! I actually have a few copies to sell if anyone intersted, its getting extremely rare to find in mint condition!

Theres actually a number of good shmups on ps3 in the store not nearly as many as 360 though.
