Sine Mora

More interested in Under Defeat HD coming next week although I want the retail copy for the extra goodies. Problem is, I live in Canada where Amazon jacked up the price for no reason so if I want it, I'd have to pay $10 more than you guys in the US :P

I want Sine Mora on Vita but I need a bigger memory card first and that's going to take a while.

It is sort of sad that out of all of the ps2 games they've released on psn, gradius v is yet to be one of them. Or, even r-type final! Shmups have a bigger audience than many people realize, and they really need to put more out!

I tried the demo out, but I wasn't a fan of it. I didn't like the whole time aspect.

Story mode seemed pretty cool though. I may still pick it up eventually, who knows.

Love both those series but out of those two they need to put R type final on there. There will never be another r type, it deserves to be put on psn first imo. I really really loved r type final, collecting all the ships was like crack lol and added an incredibly deep layer to replaying levels. Trophy support would be a nice bonus.

I put a ridiculous amount of time into R type final!

Same here.

It's not exactly a bullet hell game, but the variety of weapons and ships (complete with an evolutionary tree) make it my favorite shmup of all time.

I still have a hard copy.

My only disappointment were the last unlockable ships. Pretty meh for all the work involved.

Shmup= shoot em up or "bullet hell" games. Usually but not always side scrolling games where you control a ship or craft and have tons of enemies and hundreds of projectiles flying at you. The genre is known for its extreme diff

This isn't entirely accurate as shmup and bullet hell are not interchangeable. Bullet hell is a sub genre of shmup. Gradius V, Super Alestra, and R Type 3 are shmups, but not bullet hell. Touhou is bullet hell and is clearly different from the other game I listed.

Sine Mora is a shmup with some bullet hell characteristics, but it's generally easier and more forgiving than a pure bullet hell game.

I was trying to simplify things to give him an idea. I'll agree with what you said. Def not all are sidescrolling either...alot of diff paths the genre has went.
