Just smashed my way through it again, while showing it to the lady who just happens to have a huge crush on the Devil May Cry series, and she loved it.

That's some solid approval right there.

Killak, that deserves a bro fist. But because I can't animate a fist, would you accept a hoof?

Absolutely, my man.

(\

You know it's funny, but I was actually concerned that she'd write it off, but now i've got a game that she'll sit and watch me play thorugh the whole thing.

Wait... She'll watch you play through it? Do you let her play sometimes at lease?

Combat is the same speed as previous devil may crys.

How are you getting that the combat is slow?

Umm no it isn't, like said it maybe because I video edit a lot that I can tell difference but it definitely isn't as fast as the previous games at least the console version. It's not a deal breaker from buying the game just from buying it at $60.

I heard though that the pc version of DMC will be able to run at 60fps so I can actually get that instead then I'll get the console version later. Let's hope that the pc version is a good port.

Sure it's a lower FPS (which shouldn't matter unless you actually care about it like it makes or breaks a game)

It absolutely DOES matter. It's what makes the game. The people who do not get this are either stupid or never played the previous games and are noobs to the subject.

90% would never come close to telling the difference. At all.

I like the art style.
I like the combos and the weapon switching
I sort of like Dante's look (on par or better than original Dante)
I laugh at the cheesy lines

I've played the original series and loved them to death. I hold no dislike for this one and I'm sure I'll enjoy the full game when it comes out.

Jeez, TC. You are one of the first people that I have seen (read? heard?) with a genuine, unbiased opinion on DmC. Bravo.

I concur. Looks great.

HEY TC U AGREE WITH ME THERE FOR HAV UNBIASED OPINION GUD JOB!!!!!

Can't wait for this game. I fully support Capcom and Ninja Theory, because I have great taste!

I don't. The atmosphere, music, character designs, and dialogue were extremely unappealing and cringe-worthy. The gameplay is passable, but isn't all that amazing, and certainly not a saving grace for this game. As a reboot, honestly, this is completely underwhelming and ultimately disappointing. I am not fond of this direction they're taking the franchise in and I'll be content with ignoring yet another of NT's games.

It also doesn't help that they bastardized Vergil, my favorite character in the original franchise.

She plays when she wants to, but mostly she'll watch if it's a game that's very entertaining to her.

I mean, she kept playing DMC (PS2) on the PS3, so I bought her the HD collection, so she definitely plays, just not as much as she watches.

The combat is lightnight quick in both games. Framerate doen't affect game speed. If you can honestly see the difference because you edit video alot, then my point remains because 99/100 people won't even notice.

Framerate does affect a game's speed a lot. Anything lower than 30fps would just be even slower. At least the framerate has is pretty stable but it's still slower and less smoother compared to the other games. 30fps isn't bad but for dmc it is a downgrade.

I'll use this as a example it's not the best example but it gives you a idea on how framerate can play a important part in a game's speed. The first pic shows this imagine a game where the framerate was locked into 15fps.
