I'm glad to see that JRPGs are being talking about a lot.

are being talked about*

I'm not being sarcastic here, coincidentally just recently I was feeling down that the last JRPG I played and enjoyed was Graces F, but even then I think about how many games we *could* have if the market here in NA was a lot more willing to play these games.

To this day I've still never been able to play Vesperia, and whenever it comes to a JRPG it's up to speculation as to how long it'll take (or if it'll come at all) over here.

Life sucks, man.

Xenoblade is the spiritual successor of FF12.
999 and Zero Escape both deserve are Visual Novels to DIE for.

It really makes me wonder though.

People here hate JRPGs, (or at least talk like that) yet JRPG topics are usually on the first few pages here. Do they truly hate them so much that they have to always talk about them?

Some people on the PS3 board hate them, some think they're the best things since sliced bread. That's where all the arguing stems from. It's probably about 50/50 in all honesty.

The people who hate JRPG's on here are the ones who know nothing about them and haven't played any of the countless phenomenal gems found in previous generations. They haven't played The Last Story or Xenoblade, either.

Well I like them but I never come here to talk about them. I keep that on the game's board.

I'm not surprised one of the regionally challenged feels this way. There are plenty of games not played that are developed in both NA and Europe as well. Perhaps you've been so focused on the regional marketplace, i.e. Japanese games to realize how many development teams have gone out of business in the other regions thanks to people not playing those games as well.

Even though i am American, my game collection is diverse ... but a good number of those games are developed in Japan. The difference is i treat games as unique. They don't really deserve to be insulted by being generalized in any way. You can't just assume all people from the same region share the same biases ... especially biases freely handed out by people who assume they know it all like the regionally challenged do.

So just think of being called regionally challenged the same as the generalizations you like to hand out to people you don't know from a hole in the wall.

Let me add that it's because of the way you and others of your ilk view games that life sucks.

I refuse to support any developer/publisher/localizer that feels that way. I own every NISA RPG release from their beginning until they decided to use that term. I vocally supported them as well. A number of those "no good Japanese game hating Americans" were talked into buying NISA games thanks to me gushing about them.

As far as i'm concerned they betrayed me.
