Ah I see. Add me back, man. I originally took you off because you weren't logged in for a year I think, so I assumed you were never coming back!

Still lifting iron?

I never get a system at launch ... i always wait a least a year b4 buying it so i know i won't waste my money and some there are good games to play ... plus it its not like the ps3 is just gonna fade away as soon as the ps4 hits ... for upwards of 3 years( at least ) into the ps3 cycle they where still making ps2 games ... i excpect the same thing outta the ps3 when the ps4 hits

500$ for a better console. . . what can it do?? better graphics? that's lame, and point less.
NOW IF THAT WOULD GIVE A VIRTUAL REALITY FEEL OF PILOTING A GUNDAM like one of those gundam anime, well i would buy it even if it cost more than 500$. If it will have greater motion capture than the playstation eye well that is something. And giving me the option to play with or without the controller, greater multiplayer content and system updates already on the console it self, I would buy it.

BUT if Sony would just copy the Wii U, like adding a freakishly weird tablet controller thing, and upgrade the current hardware specs of the ps3 just to be called a ps4, to hell with them. TO HELL WITH THEM.

BTW, I HOPE THEY FINISH LAST no wait, I HOPE THEY GO BANKRUPT!

well in my country the Wii U costs about $450 and up so considering Wii u is last gen hardware it wouldnt be surprising at all; i dont expect anything less than $500 but $600 would indeed be too much

The experiences of both the PS3 and the Nintendo 3DS show that even the successors of the most popular gaming systems ever can't get away with excessive pricing for very long, especially if the launch lineup is underwhelming as well. If Sony tries to pull the same crap as they did with the PS3, the PS4 is definitely gonna struggle.

sry for the double post but that so called console that have virtual reality doesnt cost $500, it costs $25 000, if u dont like consoles, or good graphics then either stay on ur ps3 and stop complaining :/ u clearly dont understand the business world; if making a PS4 would cost $50 to Sony; yea sure it would be much cheaper; and Sony is a company that make powerful console with the best graphics possible; thats what they're known for, thats wat they want to do. if u want to pilot a bloody gundam; best way is to open a new company urself and sell ur machine for 50 buck, and then ask urself why did i say something this stupid :/
PS4 cant be last because Wii U isnt even in the competition, its pretty much competing against the PS3 and 360; i think people are asking selfish things they want to be in the PS4 knowing its never gonna happen.

$500+ would mean the end of playstation business.

I fully expect that Sony will have one sku at $299-$399,another one at $399-$499.

PS4 will be like Vita, decent power and not too expensive.

As of right now, their are only 2 things we know for sure about the PS4:

- It will play Blu-Rays
- It will not launch for more than $399

Sony's main goal with the PS3 was to implement its Blu-Ray format no matter what the cost. Because they were successful and because Blu-Ray tech is so cheap now, there is no need for a $500-$600 launch price. PS4 will hopefully be a worthy successor, but I can guarantee it will be profitable for Sony much sooner and will not cost over $399.

They could price it whatever they want. They just better back up what it has to offer if it's a high price. Needs to have many cool/good features. Amazing launch titles that people would want to play. Without any of those a high price system will of course fall short.
