Does the PS3 Super Slim play 3D Blu-ray movies?

#1LegendaryHeroRebornPosted 11/23/2012 8:29:55 AM
They sell those cheap 3D LG Blu-ray movie players in Wal-Mart and there's $99 3D TVs in Best Buy. Are they worth buying if I don't buy much 3D Blu-rays and there's no 3D movies for rent in Redbox? Do the 3D glasses from the movie theater work with the PS3 and Blu-Ray player?

The wi-fi capability in the LG Blu-ray player is that the same as the Internet Explorer of current gen systems or no?

Yes the PS3 reads 3d Bluray. The glasses depend on the TV and not the Bluray player.

I believe "Passive" TV are ok with theater's glasses.

I don't get how you don't understand it, it's English.

What do you mean by "Passive" TV? The Playstation 3D TV only comes with 1 3D glasses so can I use those recyclable 3D glasses from the movie theater?

I don't see what you're seeing but Black Friday is over so I'll shorten it.

Do the 3D glasses from the movie theater work with the PS3 and 3D Blu-ray movie/game?

What do you mean by "Passive" TV?

Is it worth buying a small Playstation 3DTV if there's only a few games that I have that are 3D?

Internet Explorer? What does that have to do with anything?
You're lucky I even know what that is, & I've got to be in the minority
Still have no clue what IE has to do with anything.

All PS3's play 3D blu-ray movies as the firmware that started it was ages ago.

All PS3s will play 3D Blu-rays.

The 3D glasses you need will depend on what TV you have, it has nothing to do with the PS3. Some TVs can use the theatre 3D glasses, known as passive 3D, and some TVs will require active glasses.

IIRC, you also must use a HDMI 1.4 cable for 3d content...
