Yes. Now 360 is dead last with a 1 year headstart and 80% were RROD-repurchases. What's your opinion on that?

People seem to have forgotten something.

Many 360 fanboys go by Video Game Charts as:
Wii sold 97.1 million--------------number 1
360 sold 70.1 million-------------number 2
PS3 sold 68.3 million-------------number 3
http://www.vgchartz.com/

However Microsoft's 360 had a large amount of Red Lights of Deaths,
many systems died and many people had to buy the system once again, specially those who didnt have any warranty.

'cos the YLOD and dying drives on the PS3 never existed...?

Someone forgot to set their clock ahead, it's not 2007 anymore.

you DO know there are more defected 360 than PS3 right?

By the tone of the internet, you'd think the Phat's had a 100% failure rate. And yes i'm aware the 360 has had more failures, but i'm also aware that it was covered for 3 years and when they took that warranty away, it was because the failure rate was well within the standard.

@killak
You mean when they changed the errors that would give you the 3 red lights to only give two? Or how the 3 year warranty only applied to the specific 3 light error? Or you mean how after thru denied any issue at all for 2 years until they had multiple class action law suits so they added in the 3 year / 3 red light clause? It dropped within standard initially because they changed the way it reported the errors and later because if better builds.

Who cares if it beat it. At the end of the day the PS3 should've done better. You're just lowering the standards to feel better about your console.

It did do better. That is what this flawless topic irrevocably demonstrated.

People still would rather purchase another faulty console over a ps3? That speaks more negatively of the ps3 in my opinion. But whatever I own all the consoles and a gaming quality pc anyway. Master race...psh GOD RACE here.

What is funny about this argument is that its the same one Mikami used against the PS2 before leaving Capcom, in his words the PS2 only sold well because Sony deliberately made it so it failed and had to be replaced to bolster numbers. Damn MS, copying Sony.

This topic is truth. With a failure rate of over 50%, the 360 definitely had a substantial amount of numbers from the same people. Hell, I bought a new 360 when my GPU died outside of warranty.

Had the PS3 released at the same time and had the 360 been a reliable console, the PS3 would be 20m ahead now.

Next gen we will be able to put this assumption to the test, since its looking likely that MS and Sony will release their next gen consoles in the same time period. Wonder what the excuses will be then......
