Ever since HD DVD died it was never good to begin with. "DD is the future"

Truthfully, I firmly believe HD DVD's death was MS's fault.

Had they made that the format of their games like Sony did with Blu-ray format it could have survived longer.

I play a lil bit of everything on a lil bit of everything.
Not changing this until we get a Viewtiful Joe 3 or HD collection of VJ 1&2 (started 8/14/12)

I don't think so.....Microsoft really didn't believe that an HD format was necessary for this generation.

And it turns out they were 100% correct.

The consortium which oversaw HD-DVD just did a crappy job of marketing the format. That's why it ultimately failed.

I'm pretty sure it says it came out November 1st.

Now, unless my math is wrong, that was 26 days ago.

Am I the only one that preordered?

I don't see why someone would want to play an immensely compressed version of MGS4. Might as well throw on an Atari game.

Because the overwhelming majority of people don't have the equipment necessary to take advantage of an "uncompressed" version anyway.

A small number of MGS fans don't own a PS3.
