In terms of graphics on PS3/360 nothing beats Beyond: Two Souls

Downgrade on Versus models? LOL.

Gameplay:
We have one gameplay video (so it can't have been downgraded if not something before it), and it alone is way more impressive in that area, especially with all these special light effects going on, in that especially huge city.

FMV:
Not downgraded in any shape. In fact, it's hugely upgraded.

Also, as far as photorealism goes:

Real life = http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_maafjwEeJf1rfzxfmo1_1280.png
Versus (I couldn't find it in better resolution, but it speaks for itself. Also, Real Time, not CGI) = http://images.fanpop.com/images/image_uploads/Final-Fantasy-Vs-XIII-Scans-final-fantasy-672803_1168_1531.jpg

Why are you showing me CGI FMV?

I was talking about the comparison of the real time 3D models in the cut scenes of the earlier trailer of Noctis meeting Stella vs the updated one.

Listen, I'm gonna hafta settle this one once and for all...

Here's the deal, the Japanese... They're terrible at rendering graphics. They can't draw. Their games look cheap and washed out. Anything but real -- This goes for Final Fantasy 50 billion, too.

Beyond Two souls looks fantastic on the dev-kits -- Don't know how that will translate to the Ps3, as Uncharted 3 also looked fantastic on the dev-kits. And, when we all got it home and played it... well, we kind of know how that went. :-(

But as of right now, no comparison. B2S is looking top notch in the graphics department, easily the best looking game I've ever seen. And no Square-Enix will be able to produce a polygon one that looks better. Just deal with it and move on Weeaboo's.

I'm not a fan of their game. Sure it looks nice but that's all it has going for it IMO. If I want an awesome story I'll just watch a movie or read a book.

If this game gives the player the player full camera control, incorporates physics and dynamic AI, then I will be impressed. Until then, this is just another Heavy Rain style game where the developers control all aspects of the game by showing the player what they want you to see.

It looks okay.
It's just the realistic art direction pretty much every game uses, nothing special.

It's still the best looking game, trying to describe why it looks so good is just nitpicky as all get out

Propping up a game on visuals when said game is incredibly linear, where the player cannot control the camera where no dynamic AI will come into play or physics, I would say it's quite fair to bring up the reasons why the game looks as good as it does.

The developers control everything the player sees. It's not that impressive, I enjoyed Heavy Rain, but not once did I come away thinking I played one of the most technically impressive games out there.
