This has happened before, about a year ago I think, or more idk, but then MS came back with Kinect. However, unless MS brings out some other highly successful 360-selling product, I feel PS3 should stay in the lead over 360 for the majority of the remaining time this gen.
I see at as both consoles being extremely successful, which I am glad for, as both consoles provide excellent gaming experiences.
Also, the success that both have had assure us gamers, that games will keep on being made. I never will understand the thought process of wishing the success of one console over another. If all consoles are extremely popular that can only mean more games.
If the doors of perception were to be cleansed, everything would appear as it truly is-Infinite.
Why do some of you think that people rebuying an Xbox 360 due to the RRoD is a relevant excuse? Microsoft still makes the money from the purchase. The console is sold, they make money, everyone wins. What does it matter if the one buying it is on their 3rd Xbox? Now, if you're arguing that it means less people in the world own an Xbox than a Playstation 3, well woohoo. But things like that don't really matter. The Wii smoked them both.
And Sony lost a fortune this generation. I'm amazed they're still afloat financially. I love all the consoles pretty much equally and have enjoyed games across all three as well as my PC, but what I'm saying here is a statistical fact and it means that these numbers are irrelevant except to help fuel the flames of a long dead and forgotten console war. The rest of the world has moved on from that, why can't people on forums do the same? It's the money you make, not the number of units you sell
