The first time you patch a game, it's free apparently. If you couldn't get it right after sending out a game as finished and then patching it once, then maybe you should have given it more time for development. It isn't undeserved to pay. Patches also is an inconvenience for customers since we're forced to sit and do nothing while the game is being patched.

How about game companies get it right before the game goes gold. Bottom line if they have to patch the game it means the publisher didn't do enough testing.
