Recommended JRPG's?

I've never played a JRPG; don't hate.

Can anyone recommend a seriously high quality JRPG?

I could give you an expansive list of them.....

..pretty much none of which would be on the PS3.

The only two that really shine in my opinion are Eternal Sonata and Ni No Kuni.

Unless you want to start getting into stuff like Demon's Souls / Dark Souls, and other "Action Adventure" games that people erroneously call RPGs.
Saying something has "Charm" is just a cute way of saying it's lighthearted and kiddy.

I suggest u do some research on what type of JRPG u wish to play.
Watch gameplay and check out what kind of story the game brings to the table.

JRPGs have taken a weird turn this gen so there are some bad ones, however there are some very good JRPGs also, look into it and dont judge them all because of one game.

Just play Chrono Trigger. If you don't like it, you may as well forget about JRPGs altogether.

Or for something more recent if there's a generation gap - Tales of the Abyss.
