I have a Hdtv 1080p 46" that i play my ps3 on, but when i play it gets a blurr when i move to look around in games (the background). Like the right analog stick to look around.

I hooked up my ps3 to my SDTV 480p 24" and theres no blurr at all. Plus the graphics looks sharper on my Sdtv.

So what do you think?

And my Hdtv settings are set perfect.

Anyway to get the motion blurr to be gone on my Hdtv?

Or maybe i should look it up on google

Blur is just a lovely feature of LCD, but features like smoothmotion (on samsungs), interpolate the frames to make it appear much much smoother. It can add lag to your input though.

LCD sample and hold. One of the biggest hurdles for LCD tech. However you have other issues as well if SD looks sharper.

And cause artifacting as well when it comes to video games as they render live and creates hell on the frame creation process unlike a movie where it has actual frames to look at and interpolate.

I would recommend for most people not to use it on gaming, or at the very least keep it at the lowest setting and nothing very aggressive like a high setting.

Again how are you making the connection? HDMI, Component, S-Video, Composite?

Also, have you configured your PS3 settings under the display options?

Lastly, what brand is the panel?

Your settings are way off base. Not trying to bash you as it is your tv and you can set it to your own personal tastes but your backlight is way too high, and your sharpness is WAY WAY too high and you have artifical edge enhancement on all your images and you should be on a warm color temp.

It may be set perfectly for your tastes but for image quality it is on the opposite end of the spectrum for anything resembling an accurate/good picture.

But none of that has anything to do with your motion issues. Just general picture quality. And you can't draw conclusions from two different panels using the same settings.

Hey I've been thinking about getting an HDTV for my PS3 for the first time, wondering if you guys have some recommendations? Around 40" is probably big enough for me, possibly even smaller since my living room is pretty small. I'm a total noob but what I'm most looking for is the best value and nice picture quality. I'm not sure how to best explain what I mean by picture quality, but for what it's worth I tend to think Plasma's look the nicest at the store.
