Three easy steps for Square-Enix to become relevant again.

1. Make a new FF epic using the ATB system.
2. Make a new Chrono Game.
3. Make a sequel to TWEWY.

All of which they will never do.

Why not? Chromo is a fan favourite. FF7 is their most commercially successful game of all time. TWEWY is a cult classic and a darling of critics.

"stop chasing the mainstream"

that goes for capcom too.

They both have potential (as shown in the past), but in the last 10 years they have become followers of the mainstream taste instead of just making good games that are successful BECAUSE they are good.

Yes I know but you want to know what they will do? They will make FFXV an MMO and it will probably be terrible, also Wada likes to pretend VII never existed, and they will just keep milking TWEWY for all it's worth and never make a sequel. The Square I know is gone, Tetsuya Nomura and his team is the last good thing SE has.

1) Make a sequel to Ehrgeiz
2) Make a sequel to Einhander
3) Make a sequel to Bushido Blade 2.

How long has it been since the last Chrono game? Why are we getting sequels to games that no one wanted (FFXIII-2, LR)? At this point, it's quite clear that SE has zero desire to create the games you've listed.

And why? Because they feel that they won't make the company as much money as an FF title, I guess.

Wasn't there a Chrono sequel in development for a while there?

Anyway, I'll have to disagree. The three steps are like this:

1.) Finish the FF7 remake they've been working on for half a decade now
2.) Kingdom Hearts 3
3.) Shut down FFXIV

Seriously, I'm amazed they're still pursuing FFXIV. It's like they love hemorrhaging money.

They could start by cutting all linear and mission based games.
