my cats looooove sitting on mine. it breaks my heart to hear the plastic creaking when they jump on and off.

Hells no, when I first got my cat she had a habit of chewing cords so we tried everything short of physical abuse. Well she ate right through the wire that connects the Nintendo Wii to the Motion bar, she got one hell of a scolding so now she jumps over wires all the time and she knows to stay away from my consoles. She sits on my games though, I have a stack of bins with old games in them sitting in a closet, she always sleeps up there.

Things also help when you get a Golden Retriever and he is smart enough to be trained to chase the cat when she gets close to my systems or any cords. Even got him trained to chase her when she starts going nuts on the carpet.

My cats try to sit next to it, they love the heat. I shoo them away, especially after I imagine my PS3 sucking in all their hair. Plus they're blocking the vents, that just bugs me.

My cat knows not to enter my gaming room, let alone get near my consoles.

They're stood up anyway.

Trust me that's going to do more harm than good (refer to my previous post).

My cat can't sit on top as there is no space in that direction, but she does like to crawl behind it from time to time while I'm playing.
