You missed the fact that Nier lacks quality and polish.

You said something about it being superior, which it is neither superior in quality or sales. If Nier had quality I would play it, but the gameplay is just so painful and messy, unlike the silky smooth almost perfect combat of the Souls games, along with the extremely detailed and complex worlds, etc.. Nier was just a bland barren wasteland with hardly any detail, not to mention, textures. Seems like a late PS2 game.

And no, I will not do you that favor if all you're going to do is lie and troll.

Skryim I agree with, but I personally think the best JRPG this gen was Dragon Quest 9.

If you would have finished NieR I would at least respect your opinion, but you didn't so GTFO. Best thing is that you really playing the graphic cards xD what are you, twelve? FF7, Chrono Trigger, Zelda:OoT etc are all fugly, yet masterpieces; seems to me you've no clue what makes a game an great experience.

It's superior as in the "best rpg this gen" list, this thread is about, BECAUSE it has a bigger impact (emotional, moving, stays in your head etc) and I say that as a Soul games LOVER.

If you want gameplay play a fighter or a tournament shooter or something. You don't watch Lord of the Rings 1 for the action either, do you.

Art style wise, Nier is horrible. Final Fantay 7 looks better than Nier, and FF7 is my favorite game of all time. Hell, Xenogears and Chrono Trigger also look much better than Nier.

Wow, you named some actual masterpieces that are actually masterpieces! (unlike Nier) I am so surprised!

Emotional impact means nothing if the gameplay is so bad that it literally hurts to play through the game since it is a messy unpolished clunky mess.

I have nothing left to say to you - you're just a troll and it's very obvious. so let's leave it as that - again please don't quote any of my posts, ignore me for all I care, but I do not want to get into further pointless discussions with you.

NieR + Dark/Demon Souls are certainly the best and most unique RPGs you can get for this generation.
