I forgot what happened but PS3 exclusives used to be 49.99( well some of them Folklore)
then I believe Activision started the whole 59.99 trend with their COD games
they sold millions and I guess SONY figured hey lets do to...to bad their games dont sell like COD games even on PS3

I find it freaking amazing that COD games are the best selling games on PS3, a console
full of amazing quality exclusives, who are the people that get COD in the millions on PS3 and Uncharted games can't even sell like that?.

The thing that some of you don't realize is that games are $49.99 right now. You can get them at that price on Ebay immediately after most game lanches. A couple of months later, you can easily get then for $39.99 or less. When Halo 4 launched I got Halo Reach for $10.

Personally, I couldn't care less if games cost $69.99 or not.

Unions are the reason Hostess is gone. Unions need to disappear.

LOL. No. Hostess is gone because no one buys twinkies.

Right and no one buys Drakes either

It's actually a combination of both, but that's beside the point.

No. Just bad management. Their competitors are more unionized than Hostess and they're doing fine. Revenue was free falling for years, that's bad management, not unions.

Bad management played a part as well, sure. But a union pushing for higher wages that the company can't afford, regardless of the reason that they can't afford it, also adds to the problem. It's unfortunate but true.

Games cost a heck of a lot more to develop this gen, yet they don't charge us any more to buy them. If only people knew how money and inflation works, they would be happy that games don't cost as much as they could. Yeah the number on the msrp is bigger, but in the real world, you aren't paying more than you did 8 years ago. With development costs, we could be easily charged more, but companies know that setting a price too high kills sales and will hurt you even more.

If your successful competitors are dealing with the same exact labor unions, then you failed as management.

Hey Ayn Rand, since when does every good in a market have the same exact price?
