Ninokuni is the new Pokemon

#1AXKSIONPosted 12/5/2012 12:46:19 AM
I choose you, Nino!

NNK gives you the ability to control each trainer who chooses & commands the moves of his pocket monsters. You fight against normal pokemon and giant monster pokemon.

So, playing part 1 of the demo for a while, not bad, this is fine, the gameplay and art style are smooth and aesthetically appealing, despite the poorly designed characters (wish we would have gotten cool character designs such as like Crono)...

...but just like Pokemon, nobody cares about the trainer. The game is about Pokemon, so despite the badly done character designs in Ninokuni, it isn't about the humans anyway, it's about the pocket monsters. So, get over "the game is kiddy 'cuz you play as a 5 year old", because the pocket monsters are the characters that matter in Ninokuni.

Also, when anyone else besides me was playing the demo, did you just stand in place so it felt more like a normal turn based JRPG? Yeah, I miss those.

Ninokuni is the Pokemon of the PlayStation.

Gotta catch em all.

Pokemon sucks.

This game is too basic to compare to pokemon. The monster designs are also really lame. Also I care about my pokemon trainer aka me.

After months and months of complaining about the game, it's art style, saying it's for kids, et cetera.

Months and months of complaining.

I wouldn't say so, since that's exactly what the demo feels like, especially when you go into part 2 of the demo, you're brandishing 3 each and they do far more damage than your guys do, so of course the focus will be on the creatures.

Though Greer, why aren't you complaining about the corridors, first and foremost?

You probably did not play the demo in depth, because I got to the world map, and at the world map, the world is your oyster.

Thanks for quoting that R Veepah, since I have him on ignore since he's a supah troll!

Perhaps you did not read well enough. In this topic I said the art style was appealing, and that the character design is bad.

The environments are still corridors though. I just find it interesting that the main thing you attack FFXIII for, is excused in this game and Graces F.

You're most welcome. Do you need me to do it in the future?

World maps and going wherever you want, out of order, any way you want (except for plot points in the game), counts as the games being non-linear.

Your argument is pulverized to smithereens.
