Inform me of what makes it non linear, as i'm not aware.

I also shouldn't have said that no JRPGs are non linear. There are branching plots and mission design in some JRPGs.

you are given a general plot task and how you spend your days is up to you.

if you encounter a side event, so be it.

there's a few main story events here and there but aside from that, it's entirely up to you how you spend your days.

and yes, you can accept quests from ppl in any order as long as they are making the quests available to you.

you can also complete the quests in any order you want.

you could even choose to fight monsters for the rest of the game, explore for the rest of the game, make stuff (alchemy) for the rest of the game, or even sleep for the rest of the game......

all primary actions require X amount of days and the game ends at the end of 3 years. spend your days wisely

you're given 3 years to accomplish all you set out to do and each primary action requires X days. spend your days wisely.

Seems like Dead Rising, which is almost the epitome of non linear, since you can do missions, win some/fail some, run around killing everything in site or cower ihe office and the game still ends after 72hrs.

you're able to lounge around not doing any of the primary actions and the battles are all essentially pure turn based.... yet ppl somehow still complain about "time restriction".... you have all the time in the world to plan your next actions...

primary actions include: Moving from area to area (externally, not internally... so going from Forest A to Forest B is one such but going from Entrance of Forest A to Exit of Forest A is not a primary action in this case), doing alchemy (each recipe occupies a different number of days per item created), fights if you take too many turns, harvesting items will spend time as you harvest more and more, sleeping (you can sleep for however many days you want)

Sadly, as i'm sure you've noticed on this board... people just complain about everything this gen.

Almost impossible to know where genuine criticism is, when it's among pure idiocy
