Is there really anybody in their right mind who'd be pleased to play that game?

Japs and their gaijin worshippers.

Yes let's throw racist comments into the mix while we're at it that always helps. The irony being you insulting people by using a Japanese term yet your username is Japanese...

There seems to be a trend of japanese (or seemingly japanese) people attacking their own culture relentlessly (Darkside_Hazuki on the RE6 forums was one and I've seen a few on youtube who would attack people who praised japanese games). Japan IS the country with the least pride in their country...

either way, it's usually closed off people

Tons and tons of video games after video games that are all about gigantic eyed scantily clad 12 year old look-likes and silly enormously boobed girls... That doesnt interest most people, shocking I know.

The almost complete majority of their video games are in the image of their cartoons silly, creepy and embarassing

Wow i didn't expect Girls und Panzer to be included there i mean that anime mainly focuses on tanks and you'll rarely get to see any fanservice there.

Can someone explain that franchise to me, please? I had no idea what it was until I was browsing one of my toy sites earlier this week and saw some models for sale. Little anime chicks crowding a tank on the box... But the model was just a tank with a realistically rendered soldiers. Did someone come up with a line of military memorabilia and replicas but decided to add anime girls as a hook? It seems bizarre to me.

That wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that you actually said racism and xenophobia presented in Japanese MMOs is okay because they're keeping their communities pure from foreigners, would it? Because with views like that, of course you're going only going to see one side.

go ahead. prove me wrong. and really. you call ipblock isolation to be racism? you do realize it's easier to manage within one's own country right? and the japanese peoples seem far more courteous in all of the games i've played with them compared to the western games. which of course are only met with rude behaviour.

I don't care if other people like them, personally though I can't stand JRPG's as a genre. Some Japanese games I have no problem with, it's more of a case-by-case basis. I just can't enjoy JRPG's anymore though, I find everything from the story and characters, to the gameplay, to the sound effects and music irritating and just boring.

That said, I played Ni No Kuni demo and found it interesting. Not sure if I liked it, but it's definitely piqued my interest.

"what has caused this change that people suddenly utterly hate rpgs or the strangely ,quirky japanese fanservice game?"

It's not "Sudden", I've always felt this way about JRPGs. The strange, quirky fanservice has always been a turn off for me, the least appealing aspect of the games I've played when it's present.

"but afterwards (most )people would laugh about it and would say that its another creation of those crazy lovable japanese that no western developer would make or think of and leave it at that."

They'd laugh about it because they were mocking it, not because they liked it. It's one of those things that's so bad you can't help but laugh about it...but not in a good way.

"now however if you dare to admit that you would like to play this you are immediately accused of being a rapist that likes little girls in swimsuits and should be send to prison regardless of whether said game was good or rubbish."

I would strongly disagree with this particular assessment. These games get bashed just as much for the stupid, uninspired game play as they do for fanservice and being quirky.

In a lot of the cases, especially this gen on the PS3, about the only thing "Appealing" about these games is their fanservice. It's a small minority that happens to find that particular aspect appealing, and an even smaller minority that can ignore it and enjoy the actual game play, which isn't all that great either.
---
Saying something has "Charm" is just a cute way of saying it's lighthearted and kiddy.

Well at Gamestop you can get a rubber ducky, a water gun, or a pirate sleeve Wii bundle.

Uh? You are mixing things up, Devil Amon is just being his usual weeaboo beating chest self, first he seem to think that gaijin is an insult, which it isnt its a term similar to auslander, neither of which are insults except for weeaboos and gemanophiles who take those terms as an insult.

Also he is trying to make it seem that having a username that is totally unrelated to video games but is of japanese origin would force someone to worship every silly and pathetic thing that comes out of said country just as he does.

you must be blind to think that >.>

i bet he's tired of trying to prove his objectivism to people like you.
