I really enjoyed the first game and I'll be trying to get this game the first opportunity that I can. First game was rather addicting for me.

Buying day one, but I'm not thrilled by the absence of a cockpit view.

Cockpit view don't make the game. To me the gameplay does.

No cockpit no buy. It's part of what makes the game for me.

Your loss. A racing game is a racing game. That'd be like not buying Grand Theft Auto if you can't steal cars or kill people in the game.

Go play burnout dude. You have NO idea what immersion in games is. Its like not having wheels animate on the cars turning left or right.

You can still turn, so why do u need the animation?

um, thats not a fair comparison since stealing cars and killing people are the 2 things that make the GTA series sell... no stealing cars and no killing then what would you do?? take a bus around town and eat and get fat and drink everyday then die of a heart attack? sounds like a sucky ending to any game!
