true_gamer80 posted...trashing/hating a game that yet to be release, where 99.99% of everyone has not even seen//played a mere fraction of the game...such a classic Gf moment...so many here are so ignorant/hateful not only does this not come off as absurd to many but become common place...gotta love GF...
well it's severely lacking in the gameplay department.
can't cancel shooting. in the real DMC game, you press the switch button and Dante immediately scrolls to the next target midway through shooting, whenever, however. in DmC, Don'te has to wait for the shooting animation to finish.
style rank accumulates, and doesn't deplete or go down below what you have already achieved. meaning your style ranking of B wouldn't go down to D, as long as you keep on pressing buttons, regardless of the variety of your moves.
30 fps. slow, sluggish. unreal engine multiplat game with the same ugly-looking plastic textures. nuff said.
false sense of cancelling. you have to execute certain combo strings to be able to cancel or switch into other attacks. for example, to be able to finish using a demon weapon while doing a combo with an angel weapon, certain moves have to be executed. meaning, you can't freely switch between any style or any weapon however and whenever you want. you can't just go Square then cancel the next square attack to whatever. there needs to be a pre-determined moveset script to be able to pull off a combo. you can cancel, but it's not all-out free canceling, switch-freely-between-crap-whenever-however-wherever kinda thing.
dumbed down devil trigger. game turns you into this super saiyan, then it also makes the enemies freeze. so not only do they make you Superman, but they even take away your enemies' chances of dodging your attacks or even counterattacking you? that's equivalent to going Hyper/Super Sonic and have all enemies frozen on your path for you to just crap on.
devil trigger only boosts your damage. doesn't boost mobility, momentum, jump height, movement speed, etc. all it does is increase your attack power.
guns have no impact and only serve as distraction. unlike in real DMCs where guns are a legit way to hurt enemies, do crowd control, etc., in this game it's more like an annoyance to the enemies and just slows them down.
no momentum carried over from using aerial-to-ground moves. in real DMC games, there was momentum. another Sonic analogy: think of classic sonic games vs. sonic the hedgehog 4. one has momentum, other one doesn't.
there's more, but it gets kinda mean.

Everyone should play Ni No Kuni.
