C/D Metal Gear Solid 4 is one of the most overrated games this gen.

Confirm.

If it was one 360, it wouldn't get this much hype from Triple fanboys.

They just said they hated the button mashing part. I think you're the one who is missing the point here.

So they hate symbolism? If they hate symbolism, then why the **** would they be playing a story based game which is filled with it?

i''m sorry but I have to ask you some thing.

How the **** is button mashing symbolism?

I love MGS4, but that part could of totally been better without the stupid button mashing. symbolism my ass.

It's supposed to represent Snake's overall struggle with the decrepit state of his body and the pain of the hallway intensifying it. The player is engaged with having to mash a button as hard as possible, by the end of it at an almost impossibly fast pace, to give a similar feeling as to how much effort Snake is outputting to move.

Are you complaining that you wanted LESS gameplay and MORE cutscene?

Is it really that much of a struggle to mash a button and pay attention to something else at the same time? I think this is more a personal problem on your end, rather than a problem with the game.

Yea and I've never even failed that sequence even on the hardest difficulty. I'm not even sure it's possible to fail it. People complain about the stupidest ****.

It's the only reson I never finished the game I gave up after 10 try's so yes you can die.

LOL, the people who love MGS4 are MGS fans. I would've been excited and bought the game no matter what platform it's on.

I never died on that part either. I just know you can die on that part because youtube had a mgs4 death scene video and it has snake die during the microwave part.

You must literally have to not try at all. I think I did it one time where i very casually mashed the button and i still won.

Resident Evil 4's Boulder Rush segment. And pretty much all RE4 QTEs. They came out of NOWHERE.

MGS4's didn't, but honestly, I want to enjoy my cutscenes. I can't enjoy them if I have to constantly replay them just to advance the story. There's Bad QTEs and there's good QTEs.

Good QTEs come from some action games like No More Heroes and God of War. This also includes Heavy Rain, which was its whole build.

Bad QTEs come from games like Resident Evil where they come out of nowhere and punish you HARD for not paying attention. This also comes from unfitting QTEs, such as the suggested Microwave Chamber section. I understand that Snake is old and he struggles through menial tasks, so stopping rubbing it in my face over and over.
