But I was frustrated by the fact that the gameplay is quite fun in the first 3 acts. But once I get the hang of battling NPC soldiers, then Act 4 is all about them Gecko's. And then, Act 5 is Call of Duty Solid Snake.
The gameplay from the first two acts in particular was so much fun, the AI is a blast to play against... why change it?

Metal Gear Solid 4 is one of the few games I actually took the time to finish on the PS3. Hell, it was one of the only games on PS3 to keep my attention. Most games are too generic in their gameplay or story. I didn't see that with Metal Gear Solid. It was a unique story and gave many unique gameplay styles. The game encouraged using stealth but gave you the option to run and gun if you wanted. You had many different ways of taking enemies out also. There were a lot of cutscenes in the game, but I didn't think that took away from the game at all, but instead added to it. I feel it tied up the Metal Gear Solid story rather well. As for the boss fights, they were alright but far from the best in the MGS series as the other games had better bosses. The final boss fight was among one of the best though. I know the game isn't for everyone though, because people these days want a game with nonstop action and little story, hence why CoD is considered one of the better games this gen.
And this topic is quite blasphemous. For our lord and savior Hideo Kojima will smite thee for creating such a topic. For the sanctity of your life in the hereafter, please repent through his messenger Solid Snake.
