The game itself is not as good as Smash. it's about a 7.5/10 game. Still solid though.


At least Playstation All Stars menus get you where you need to go quickly unlike Gran Turismo 5

Agree 100%. I got the game for free, and I regret wasting my time playing it. It's a bargain bin game at best; look for it when it's $15 or less.

Here's a little mini review that I hope helps.

Pros:
- Gameplay is very fun
- Characters are varied and unique with few exceptions
- Lots of fan service
- Stages are unique
- Good number of characters and stages for the first game in a (potential) series
- More characters and stages coming (for free I hear)
- Very good online
- Lots of unlockables (new character intros and outros, new taunts, new costumes, etc.)
- Fun items

Cons:
- Menus are indeed very ugly
- Arcade mode is not too good except for the rival cutscenes
- Final boss is pretty lame


Overall, I'd say 8/10. Worth getting for sure.

I like pretty much every 2-D fighting game. All the smashes, marvel, street fighter, blazblue, persona 4 arena, etc. Just watching gameplay however it seemed so boring. In my own opinion killing only with supers was the deal breaker and why I didn't buy this game.

That said I'm sure they put a lot of effort into making it and you probably won't feel like you wasted your money buying it.
