That's not exactly how it works shawnmck. The publishers have already made every cent from that game the second it appears on shelves. Any price cuts come out of the retail stores profits. Intead of selling a game for 30% profit they might run a stock clearance sale and only make 10% off each game on the shelves.

But waiting for sales 6 months down the line still affects the publishers. The more games the retail store moves then the more copies they order to replace their stock. So holding off untill the retail stores no longer want the item taking up shelf space means less orders from the publishers in the initial months.

*slightly tipsy ATM, so I hope that's easy enough to follow*

What if you don't make a PSN account and only play offline?

If the game can only be linked to a PSN ID, you're screwed, and you don't get to play anything at all.

That's horrible. What about people who don't have internet then?

Lol. Tipsy as in I've had a few beers. But cheers anyway.

Also I wasn't trying to be condescending with my first post, just in case it came across that way.

^ Not at all.
And I actually appreciate to be corrected.
I would rather be right by being corrected, then be wrong and not have anything said at all.
So, Thanks...and have a GOOD one !
