I have mine on like 12-16 hours a day because everyone uses it for gaming/Netflix and what not. And I've had it over a year now, no problems. Just make sure it's well ventilated. --- PSN ID: RyuuHou24 "I never said that....and even if I said it, I never said it" - Dr Peter Venkman RGB

I sometimes game for 14 to 16 hours at a time. you should be fine as long as the system is in a well ventilated area --- That does it! I have had it with these mother****ing trolls on this mother****ing board!!! -mercuryblade09

it sits next to my tv. it's positioned vertically(using a stand).
nothing blocking it. and i dont think it's absorbing any heat from the tv. --- http://iruntheinternet.com/lulzdump/images/dog-comes-puppies-two-subwoofers-1275567122b.jpg

Cooling devices are totally worthless. They don't do anything other than make your system twice as noisy. And there aren't any overheating issues with the newer ps3's. save your money.

I've heard these cooling devices for consoles actually cause more damage than prevent it, i get abit freaked out about how loud my slim gets sometimes but i turn it off for a few hours and everything is ok
This room does get pretty warm at times, especially in the summer --- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSWXqC7Dlhs - The Legend Of Don Piano
