The one that is cheaper. If it's the same price, physical.

Pretty much this, except if the price is the same then I'm more likely to go Digital.

I have boxes full of old PS3 games I'll never play again. Last year I threw out around 150 PC game boxes (and disks) for games I had picked up outside of Steam and have finished.

Digital's just easier, and I've got so many games in my backlog it's unlikely I'll even have time to play a game I've finished. And even if I do, it will still be in my downloads list.

Depending on the games you really should have tried selling them rather than just throwing them out :/ or donate them to someone for crap sake. And if you have old games you don't play then trade them in for new stuff >.>

Selling them is just too much effort for too little reward. Most PC games are only worth a dollar or two. The PC market is dominated by digital distribution, and 2nd hand boxed games are virtually worthless. I'm not really into 2nd hand game trading though, and I buy all of my games new.

As for my PS3 games though, if I ever get rid of them I'd give them away instead of throwing them out. But I've probably got almost 100 games lying around now on a shelf in the spare room.

Physical copy for the reasons of displaying them and to loan them to friends in case they were thinking of buying it

Cant really do that much with Digital since if they want to try it out their more limited by the time they stay at your home

Physical, I like to feel like I actually got something for my money, something that digital doesn't do for me.

Physical
1) If online services are ever down, i get my games and play them no problem
2) I like to see my game collection
3) A bit more personal experience but digital games glitch and freeze on me more often than the physical copies.

You can play digital games while the server is down as well. Most Digital Distribution platforms (such as PSN) don't do online startup checks, and those that do (such as Steam) usually have fail safes to allow you to start the game even when the servers are down.

And example point - You can still play your PSN games (even the 'free' PS+ ones) even if you're not connected to the internet.

Servers will only affect online functions, such as multiplayer, regardless of if its Digital or Physical.

I choose whatever benefits the gaming industry. Digital will help provide the same quality experiences at a lower cost. Due to the lack of having physical resources to provide the game. It also means no having to deal with Game Stop either.

So your giving more money to Sony the same to its developers and taking money away from game stores, transportation companies, the actual production facilities for the disc writing etc. and giving the same amount to developers?

meanwhile inviting in independent developers who can't afford production facilities, helping Sony to earn more money to better there finical issues, all the while having Nintendo, Sony, and/Microsoft open up their own store (similar to Apple). Selling their own hardware, and accessories globally provide more jobs, than Game Stop has.
