I think it will do well in the long term, but not light the charts ablaze.

im optimistic that it will do 200-300k, if the last story and xenoblade could do well because they got glowing reviews all around, im confident this will too.

Less than 50k. The game didn't even sell well in Japan. When a jrpg doesn't sell in Japan, you know there's something wrong.

It's a non-Final Fantasy RPG, so I'd be surprised if it sold more than 200,000.

this.

you guys are crazy if y'all think it gets any further than 150k ( which is still pushing it imo ).
this game isn't getting hype by the mainstream. it's another niche title for an dying genre.

Why do people care about sales so much? No amount of hope or interest will change them.

For reference, the Japanese version sold about half a million copies on the DS and another half million on the PS3. That's higher than Xenoblade or The Last Story even managed in Japan.

Now, in the US I think it may be a harder sell and I don't really see a big marketing push for it or even a decent word-of-mouth campaign like Xenoblade had. On the other hand, it's also available at several different retailers. If they'd put a bit more into marketing it to kids (TV ads during children's programming blocks, etc...), like it was in Japan, it could really do some good business I think.

My own personal estimate is somewhere around 130,000 units, but I would love to be wrong and see it sell more.
