360 style alternative controller to MLG pro circuit?

#1mike468Posted 1/8/2013 10:33:19 AM
I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good 360 style controller besides the MLG pro circuit?

I've been wanting to get more use out of my PS3 because I mainly play on the 360 because of the controller. I had a PDP afterglow ps3 controller that I wasn't really happy with. I was eyeing the Mad Catz MLG controller, but the more I read about it, it sounds like Mad Catz is really trying to milk it. The analog sticks that ship with it has no tension at all and if you want tension in the sticks you have buy the tension analog sticks modules for $15 a piece and that's on top of the fighter style dpad module I would have bought with it too.

Nyko has one. It's pretty decent. Even has a switch to change the L/R buttons. Reversal I mean.

I was looking at that too, but I read that the dpad is more horrendous that the stock 360 controller. I was looking for a good 360 style controller for playing FPS and fighting games like PS All Star Battle Royale. My PS3 controller has been kind of wonky while playing it.

Eh I didn't have an issue with it but I'd definitely would check and see if its something you'd use.

I actually have their fightpads and there pretty good. I did't have a problem with them. The thing is All Star Battle Royale uses the right analog stick for throws which the fightpads lack.

Like I said the MLG controller looks good, but that it would cost me about $140 to configure it the way I want it set up, which is ludacris to pay 3x the cost of a standard controller.

Jesus. For that price, I expect that controller to be the best one I've ever bought and it better transfer into next generation.
