oh and as for someone being thin as a rail with a big sword... oh yeah thats right.... I forgot.. cause EVERY video game Ive played makes TONS of sense.. because theyre ALL REAL and follow our rules of physics... oh wait.. my bad... NONE of them do... even the "realistic:" on es have crap thats impossible..

nathan drake for example.. who has the upper body strength to hang from a ledge.. and proper themselves 50 feet up to another length without a running start of any forward momentum? not to mention falling 500 feet and grabbing a ledge... you try that in real life an your arms or wrists are bound to break from a sudden stop after falling that far and accumulating that speed from pull of gravity..

or lets not talk about games with underwater level (mario).. news flash being under water does NOT make people jump as if they were on the moon....

yet do I hear anyone complain about those things? but then a scrawny person wields a sword the size of a skyscrapper and now its a problem? ookay

how about the fact that you can get hit by attacks that literally destroys planets.. yet doesnt one shot you?

or the fact that you can respawn in multiplayer games..... Ive only know ONE game where re-spawning was at least scientifically (science fiction) explained so they at least TRIED to make it make sense (and did a good job) as opposed to it being "this is how the game is dont ask questions"

some people need to learn to take GAMES for what they are instead of taking them so seriously.. you want serious/realistic.... walk outside the front door.

So. True.

TC I know how you feel, and feel the same way. Just go figure a way out to play Shadow Hearts 1 and 2 (not the 3rd one) and you'll be set.

Forget about the PS3. If you had an Xbox though, you could give it a go to Lost Odyssey.

Oh but you can check out Enchanted Arms. Just watch some youtube videos first to see if it is your cup of tea. I enjoyed it despite being a little underwhelming.

If you want a really weird example, check out Blue Dragon. The kids in it are supposed to be in their mid teens, but they look about 10, it's bizarre.

It's because Akira Toriyama did the art for it and that's just his art style for kids O_o. Just look at old Dragonball episodes.

As far as I know in those series the main cast of characters are all around aged 16+, so they are not kids, more like teens or young adults. Only exception I can think of is Rorona in Atelier Meruru, after she used the potion of youth she looks like a 8 year old kid or so. Besides, if you don't want a "kid" in your party there are older playable characters too like Sterk and Esty (around 30-40 years old) and Gio (around 60 year old).

In Disgaea games, it's more the chibi art style that makes the characters look younger than they are. You can create your own characters anyway if you want "older" looking characters but even so as avatars it's natural that the characters will look younger. Story mode just lasts a few hours anyway and there is no nudity as far as I know, Disgaea games is all about grinding to insane levels anyway.

Only games I can think of that are mostly about loli fanservice are Mugen Souls (which got censored by the way) and maybe Hyperdimension Neptunia games (Characters are around 14 year old I think).

Haven't played Mugen Souls so can't tell, but from the 20 hours (so far) I've spent in Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 I believe I can safely say the fanservice isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be. Not that there is no fanservice at all, but I've seen way worse (I don't like most forms of fanservice - I tolerate it though, because when judging a game I judge the overall of it, not just what I dislike about it).
Also, they usually have dialogues going on which I'm finding pretty funny and make it somewhat enjoyable.
