The 3 things I want most (and probably won't get), from next-gen systems...

#1carib2gPosted 1/9/2013 10:17:33 AM
1. No loading screens
2. No screen tearing (or other graphical hiccups)
3. 60fps for every game

You?

2 is the worst.

Also, what is the deal with pop-in?

I don't recall screen tearing, or heavy lag, or pop-in before this generation. These are all basically new terms to my gaming world.

Agree with 1 & 2.

What I want most that's actually resonable.

1. Fastest blu ray drive available (reduces loading times)
2. A significant leap that allows for advancement in gameplay.
3. BC

for them to be happy with the graphics as they are now and actually focus more on GAMEPLAY. Hell yeah the games nowadays are beautiful but your just too damn limited and (in the best examples of beauty over gameplay, FF13 and Uncharted series as basic examples) your pretty much running straight forward the entire time going ooooh ahhhhh at the graphics until its over.

60fps is overrated, if you notice that in anything other than maybe being a hardcore fighter, you just need to grow up. i guess you could argue COD, but since thats as simple as point and click BOOM dead enemy i dont see where it matters.. BF isnt 60fps and it takes skill to get a kill in that game, so maybe it would preform better? anyway, grow up.

im not even sure what screen tearing is? Seriously, graphics whores.. get over it.

I would willingly GIVE UP all three to get games that you actually get to PLAY instead of just watch and press a button now and then.

Screen tear is when, if you move the camera fast enough, it looks like the frames were cut off-angle.

You can't miss it, and it isn't the meritless whinings of a graphics whore either.

i don't care about those things

the ability to upgrade ram/video card/blu ray drive would be awesome.

and stop making games in 720p, why did i bother to get a 1080p tv...?

I don't really care about graphics, I want expanded gameplay.

Wii U is a good start. I'm not sure how I feel about the rumoured playstation visor (especially if it's optional) or Microsoft's project to all walls thing. I'll have to see what they actually do for the games.

So if Nintendo changed the name of the Wii - U, would they be pulling a U-Wii?
