FF7 and FF10 had the best combat systems.

I agree for the most part, but I enjoyed 6's combat a lot too.

I've said it here before that absolutely loved how FFX worked and I wish more games had a system like it.

the beauty of FFX's battle system was only really utilized for far too few fights >.>

the talk system was only against seymour for one or two fights and against ??? for one fight...

the battle action was only used in about 4 fights.....

I wasn't talking about the talk and action things - they were just little gimmicks for when the story called for it. You could utilize the battle system whenever you wanted. You could easily do a straight offensive with whoever was in the active party, but I'd personally swap everyone around as much as I could.

FF7 and FFX are also the only good Final Fantasy games.

Just...no.

10-2 beat 10 in terms of combat.

7 was alright. It had a generic system with some nice style thrown on it.

X-2 is so underrated. If you can just stomach that initial cheese factor, it's such a badass game.

Final Fantasy IV (recent versions), V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X-2, and to an extent XII, have similar combat systems.

X was a bit unique, but saying the two of them have the best battle systems doesn't really make much sense.

X-2. Whatever you may say about the rest of the game, the battle system was top notch.

I sure love waiting 10 seconds for an attack to charge.

Then use a different attack. One that doesn't take 10 seconds to charge.

But yeah, X-2 has the best battle system by far. Then I'd say VII, then X. XIII is damn near the bottom of the barrel though. XII being the worst, unless you cheat and always have a max ATB gauge. Then it's actually quite fun.
