This is a split board - You can return to the Split List for other boards.

FF7 and FF10 had the best combat systems.

Does it really matter which one is better if all you do is press (x).

All I press in Mario games is the A button. Does that mean Mario and FF are the same?

There are actually some games that do something like this. Super Robot Taisen OG Saga Endless Frontier on DS is one example, where anyone who isn't currently in the battle becomes a "support attacker" and assists the frontline guys.

I was thinking about that a bit when he said that. Maybe even have the two chain together, like the mage in reserve zaps the water guy while the fighter swings his sword at the same guy. The lightning locks the water guy up for a sec - just long enough for the fighter to get a hit in on the normally hard-to-hit water guy because he's stunned, or solidified, or whatever.

I think so too.

I actually like FF X's the most. I don't really like ATB all that much and play on "wait" all the time. I also thought that the order of turns at the side was really awesome.

What tc means I believe is FULLY custimizable characters and loads of skills to learn.
This is what made the standard atb of FF7 better than all the other FFs. ESPECIALLY better than 13.
You can't customize in 13 and you have extremely limited skills to learn.
