So, so far we have:

-Famitsu = 36/40 (38/40 for DS version)

-RPGLand = Legendary (equal to 10/10) (only the 4th game to ever receive it from them)

-Playstation Lifestyle = 10/10

-GameMasters UK = 95/100

-Official Playstation Magazine UK = 9/10

-GamePro Germany = 93/100

-Official PlayStation Magazine Benelux = 87/100

-Game Informer = 7/10

-EgHeadFool = 9/10 (You probably will laugh at me for listing a User Review, but his reviews and FAQs are as accurate and as thought out as the best "professional" review and best strategy guide out there. Without the bias too. Seriously, check his 3D Dot Game Heroes FAQ and Ni No Kuni review.)

His Review:

His contribution:

He is currently one of the most knowledgeable people in the world regarding Ni No Kuni.

So, to sum up:

1) Lowest Review so far = 7/10 from Game Informer, with 2nd lowest being 87/100.
2) Aggregate so far = 90.55%, and for those that laugh at me for including a valid User review, 90.625%. (as you can see, his score actually brings down the aggregate).

Are these accurate, or did I hear wrong?
Any other known review?

Really, the reviews are absolutely positive. But the scores are irrelevant, only the contents in them, which if you take the time to read them, you will be amazed.
God I can't wait anymore, been waiting since 2008 that I heard about this Project.
I really can't wait 1 more month (stupid delay).

Btw, everyone read this topic too, to see just how much soul and effort went in this Project:

Just can't wait anymore. :D

Why did the PS 3 one get a lower rating than the DS version? I assume since it's essentially the same game, it's upgraded. That should make it get a higher score, not lower, no?

The lack of spell book and manual casting, would take something away from the experience.

I personally expect this game to do very well. They've put together a very nice package, and i'm 3 days away from paying for mine.

All these review scores, while meaningless really, just reinforce my own thoughts on the game. I think highly of the game after everything I've seen of it. The only thing that really hurts it in my opinion is the "For Everyone" presentation, but in this game's case I can easily look past that because it's not full of Fanservice and "Lolipedo" BS like most of the other JRPGs on the PS3.

Nobody is going to pay these idiots to give a JRPG a high review. It wouldn't be worth their money, these games aren't popular enough to warrant such an expenditure. It wouldn't work anyway, the damn game could get a glowing review by <Insert your personally most trusted and respected reviewer> and people still wouldn't buy it unless they were in the small niche that likes these sort of games.

Famitsu is a Japanese magazine. So for 4 reasons:

1) DS Version is completely Turn Based. PS3 Version is Real Time + Turn Based hybrid.
Japanese prefer Turn Based.
2) Wow factor is gone. All the hype in Japan was for the DS Version (which sold alot) which was released earlier than PS3 Version.
3) The Famitsu Review was for the original Version of Ni No Kuni for PS3. Since then the "All in One Edition" has been released, which includes all patches and all DLC on disc, making it much better.
4) Japanese people prefer handhelds.

And the Western Version of Ni No Kuni : Wrath of the White Witch is even better, including Dual Voice Acting, Extra Familiars and also as LEVEL-5 CEO, Akihiro Hino said:

"Many of the anime scenes had to be redrawn to fix language and setting issues. Even the motions had to be tweaked, from retiming the comedy sketch scenes for maximum comic effect, down to minor motion capture changes like making Oliver bow in a Western fashion.
There is also a lot of technology going on behind the scenes to make the text as natural as possible, such as font resizing on the fly, as well as a complex system that handles English and European languagesí grammar, including German cases/declension."

Why would they do that?
