Stick. While it takes time to get good on it, you'll exceed your pad-execution by a huge margin, unless you're REALLY comfortable with it. It's actually easier to get to good levels of execution with stick then with pad. it's just more strange and uncomfortable, since most play on pad all their life.
It also depends on the game. I can't play tekken with stick for the heck of it. probably too used to a ps pad, since I started with Tekken 1. I use stick for every other fighter tho.
Pad, but only because I don't have a stick at the moment. I plan on getting one eventually, but I'm concerned with how it will affect my ability to pull off moves the require a bit of dexterity with the stick/d-pad such as Kazuya's EWGF.
