What is it about RPGS (Action RPG, JRPG, WRPG, etc.) that makes them fun to play?

Depends on the RPG. I mostly play them for gameplay and story. For me, and RPG needs both. Strategic decisions when it comes to turn based battling, or combo potential when it comes to stuff like Tales of --- Now Playing (VITA): Ragnarok Oddysey, DJ Max Technika Tune (soon) PSN: Roksor.
