"We live in a violent society. Where once people could flock to public executions or watch gladiators in combat, now such events have been shrunk down a size that allows people to blast fake soldiers in their living rooms. Before games, kids were stabbing each other with cardboard tubes and firing plastic cap-guns. At this moment, half a million people are killing each other in “Call of Duty.” Just like with the kids of 40 years ago, most of these people will go to bed at night and know that what they played was a game, not real life. It is the very few who cannot distinguish between reality and fiction who cause the problem. In this case it is more accurate to blame the deinstitutionalization of the mentally ill in the United States than the increase in violent games. The gaming industry is not a shining example of what is right, but neither is it the cause of gun violence in the United States."

It's a multi-facated issue, really. Everyone wants to point the finger at something to blame (usually something already on their agenda), but I find it's almost always a case of all of the above. Violent media has been shown to cause aggressiveness, but the bigger issue is that society is violent as a whole. Violent games are made because they are demanded, as are movies and other forms of media. We need to tackle violence issues on a societal level by taking steps towards decreasing the reverence society has for violence and enforcing age restrictions for the most malleable of demographics.

Lol. So you advocate eugenics then? Because that's the only way you're going to alter the violent nature of humanity.

Genetics can only go so far in quelling violence. You push someone far enough or let them slip far enough into a pool of desperation, they're going to snap. Deep down everyone's got it in them to kill; all you need is the right combination of environmental and mental factors.

Humans are violent by nature. We will always try to destroy one another.

This topic is a truck, and you mentioning eugenics just grabbed the wheel and violently veered to the side.

Well, to veer it even farther off the cliff, does penis size matter? I had read an article that found correlations between penis size and crime rates, but I can't find it now. I did find this article, though, which is funny:
