It's a good thing Obama knows about this travesty.

In fact, everyone should know about it.

I think I bought the wrong console this gen.

Right, except DmC is actually a good game. Total Rekall isn't a good film. There have been many film reboots that were successful, and many game reboots that have sucked.

Your point/argument is null.

That's got as much credibility as

"how come it's 'you can't spell ignorant without IGN, but when you like the game it's W00T!!!'

All that does, is cherry pick a single example, so it's dumb

It's only SO true of you ignore half of the fanbase and their arguments.

It does make a point, why don't we have the same standards as movies? Why is it that we don't say developers are running out of ideas despite having several sequels and re-releases of the same game every year?

Let's just not reboot anything, ever. (OK, I've give you one every 25 years, but only if absolutely necessary.)

There probably have been a few that were successful, but were any of them actually good? The only good remakes I've ever seen are films that stayed very, very close to the original, which isn't a reboot.

People do say that. Lots of people. Just like I've seen every complaint on that pic leveled against Total Recall also used on DmC.

Similarly, just like that pic says so many people were fine with DmC plenty of people were fine with Total Recall.

What? There are a bunch of game reboots that have failed.

Turtles in Time Re-shelled
Sonic 2006
Legend of Spyro
Bomberman Act Zero
Golden Axe Beast Rider
Final Fight Streetwise
Qix++

Likewise there has been successful movie reboots like Batman Begins and Casino Royale.

Stop hating on DmC. My God, I don't know what it is with the Devil May Cry community.

Why can't people who are upset by reboots just ignore it's existence and move on? I understand why they are upset but no one is forcing you to play this game and honestly it's called a reboot for a reason. It's going to be different then the original.

If they turned Ezio from Assassins Creed into an emo punk in some reboot I would ignore it's existence.
