360 version didn't even chart.

For comparison, DMC4 did 250,000ish first week. Competing head to head with freaking Smash Bros. Brawl and when the Ps3 was still crazy expensive and in a couple of million households in Japan.

Excellent news.

It came in at #1 with over 100,000 copies. That is better than a lot of games do there so what are you trying to say anyway?

Coming in at first =/= success. Are people seriously this short sighted.

It sold about 40% of what DMC4 did while having roughly 4-5 million more people to sell it to, how is that not horrible.

Is the fact that even with less than half of DMC4's first week sales it was still #1 proof that people just aren't buying as many games as they used to?

Because not every gamer can be sold too. You can't spit in the face of a fanbase and then expect an IGN review to swing people's views.

The thing that people need to notice here is that DmC had absolutely no competition.

Capcom's marketing team did their job right because they knew this game would get clobbered if it was released along with Big-name games.

At least they were smarter than Sony with regards to PS No-Stars. However, the game still failed to fulfill its main goal of overwhelmingly selling A LOT MORE than past DMC titles.

This Western reboot is a failure.

I think I bought the wrong console this gen.

Not good at all. I wasn't sure after the UK numbers, but this makes it pretty clear that the reboot is underperforming.
