I've played damn-near every shooter available on the PS3, and Binary Domain easily ranks in the top-3...
I suppose the reason why I waited so long to play was simply because no one ever talks about it...but after completing the game today, it would be an understatement to call it a really-good game!
- It has a fantastic story, that actually keeps you engaged - More than a couple plot twists, that actually take you by surprise - Very tight and satisfying gun-play - Ability to upgrade you and your team's weapons etc. - Ability to switch-up team members frequently - Smart A.I. that will flank and surround, charge, use cover depending on situation - "Trust" levels with teammates that actually make a difference in the game - Multiple endings - Great graphics - Robotic enemies that break apart depending on where you shoot them, and their mangled bodies will crawl after you if you don't finish them off - About 10 incredible boss fights
I could go on and on...but I wanted to list a few highlights for those that may be thinking of getting the game....
I do have two "minor" complaints personlly... - couldn't assign R2 as shoot button/trigger (R1 default) - grenades mapped to "down" on d-pad which un-equips your current weapon
But anyway, if you haven't played this game, buy/rent it now! It's a real gem!
Best of 2012: Sleeping Dogs, Mass Effect 3, Max Payne 3, Far Cry 3 Gamercard: http://card.psnprofiles.com/1/Carib2g.png
Its not praised more because people haven't played it. It flew under everyone's radar thanks to Sega's masterful marketing skills. Its also regarded as one of, if not the most underrated game of 2012 so people know its good, assuming they know about it.
What is faith then but persistent hope in the face of relentless doubt. Now Playing: Anarchy Reigns, Far Cry 3, Torchlight 2, Final Fantasy 9.
