Also, I've been actively looking for work for a year and a half now. Not only in areas where I have degrees and certificates for my actual skills, but even places I thought I would've never had to look at again, like fast food places.
This job market is awful, at 28 with certifications in the IT Tech industry, I should not be having this hard of a time finding work, let alone grunt work.
TC, you may just have to be thankful for what you have, save the RPG games in a box, and if you ever run in to a situation of prolonged unemployment, then worry about them.
